-You must be 18 years old or more upon entry into the program and have the following functional prerequisites: the successful completion of a secondary school diploma in your home country.

DEC is a post secondary degree. DEC courses are pursued in the duration of either 2 or 3 years depending on the student’s main goal. All 2-3 year DECs are pre-university programs to properly prepare for university.

Vocational DEC programs which last 3 years are more extensive to train students directly for the job market and their career soon upon completion of their studies.
